Statewide testing in Missouri has revealed approximately 18 percent of houses have potentially dangerous radon levels.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designated St. Louis county as a “Zone 2” level for radon. This designation means the prevalence of radon in homes may be in the range of 2 to 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). The EPA has an “action level” of 4 pCi/L for indoor air quality.
Testing is the only way to find out if radon is present in your home. For more information on radon test kits contact me at mike@cribbinrealty.com.
