Some of us are aware of outdoor air pollutants that can damage our health, but few of us kow about the dangerous radon gas that may lurk inside our own homes.
radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in many homes, causes cancer. Radon gas migrates through the soil and rock, and becomes part of the atmosphere.
If a structure, such as a house, office building, or school, is built where the gas migrates out of the ground, radon can enter the structure and become hazardous to the health of the occupants.
